Atmosphere - Basingstoke

To burn off some energy from the excitement of half-term, we planned a trip to Atmosphere trampoline park in Basingstoke.

When we arrived it was busy, as we had expected for the half-term week, but we easily found a space to park.

Tip: If there are no spaces, there’s more parking outside the carpark but be careful to read the signs to make sure you don’t require a permit.

Once we entered Atmosphere we went straight to the reception where there was no queue, and the reception staff were polite. Something to note: The trampoline waiver used to last a year, however, it currently only lasts 24 hours. We, therefore, had to sign a new waiver for us all but this only took a couple of minutes as they had a few computer screens to access.

As we have visited before I knew to take appropriate socks (with grip on the bottom) which they let us wear but if you did need to buy some, they are a flat rate of £2 a pair, and you get to keep them.

Once you get into Atmosphere there is an area of benches and lockers where you can get ready to jump. Lockers cost £1 each, which is refundable once you return the key. To enter the trampolines, you need to walk up a few metal steps then its wall-to-wall trampolines!

We went at peak time during half-term and you could definitely tell that it was louder than normal and quite busy. As it is quite large my girls still managed to move around freely, and this didn't stop them from jumping like rabbits from one trampoline to another!

I did notice quite a few staff wandering around keeping an eye on everything which was quite reassuring.

They had a few different areas to play in, including;

Basketball with two hoops, so you can have a little competition and try a slam-dunk!

Half pipe trampolines

Dodge ball (The balls were a little deflated, but that helped ensure they weren’t too hard!)

An air pit (This was my girl's favourite even if they did struggle to get out of the pit)

There was also a soft play area with a little bouncy castle for the small one to join in on the fun. They did have disco lights on, but it was so bright in there, they had little to no effect.

The café was quite busy and only one table was remaining, so I sat there for a little rest and refresh. Unfortunately, this table was placed directly under the heater, so I felt as though I were in the savannah and after some time I thought I’d leave with a suntan… that did explain why no one was sitting there!

Overall, it was clean, tidy and a great fun activity for an hour and the girls and I enjoyed ourselves.

I love a bargain, and I think that the Planet Offers discounted vouchers make this more affordable for a large family like ourselves – absolutely worth a visit if you can bag yourself a bargain.
