No-Mess Halloween Activities for Kids

No-Mess Halloween Activities for Kids

We all want to make sure our kids have fun and make lifelong memories, especially when it comes to seasonal holidays like Halloween, but sometimes nothing is scarier than the big post-craft clean up! That’s why we have put together this list of fun and crafty Halloween activities for kids, without making a spooktacular mess! P.S ‘no-mess’ is definitely optimistic when it comes to kids crafts, so please take that title with a pinch of salt as you read through our list of ‘limited-mess’ crafts…

PUMP-KINS

Traditional pumpkin carving can be messy and requires a lot of hands-on supervision. If your little one is a bit too clumsy for traditional pumpkins, why not pump up some orange balloons instead and let them draw the designs themselves. You can add another element of fun by putting a sweet in each balloon, so the kids can have a race to stomp on the balloons on Halloween night!

BOO-gey

If you are braving the pumpkin carving this year, why not make the mouth into a fun minigolf hole! This turns one craft into two, as you can set up a tiny putting green in your garden and test your luck at that hole in one!

Mummified

Now that the great toilet paper shortage of 2020 has passed, you can grab yourself a few extra rolls and have a mummy making competition. Split into two teams and choose one player in each team to be the mummy. It’s up to the rest of the group to wrap them in toilet paper until they look like a mummy! The group that does this the fastest wins!

Doughnut Bobbing

Since apple-bobbing is cold, wet, and totally not covid friendly... why not try doughnut bobbing! All you have to do is hang a doughnut from some string. This could be in a doorway, off a tree, or even from your ceiling light (anywhere really)! Then, let the little ones try and eat the doughnuts hands-free. This works best with mini doughnuts, so everyone can have a few goes without getting too full. If doughnuts aren’t your thing, you can try this with party rings too!
