Tell us a bit about your family
From my loud and hyper 10 year old to my timid and gentle 3 year old, we are all so unique and different in our personalities, yet our family dynamic is great. With our four children having a diverse age range, we are continuously visiting new places/attending various events and do so with an open mind and positive approach. We are always honest in reviews and as a family we are all open minded to sampling any activity. I am disabled too, so it would be lovely to be given the opportunity to offer reviews that also address the needs of those with disabilities, as I often find that these type of reviews are lacking.
What are your family nicknames?
All of my children are known as little rascals (because they truly are just that)with the exception of my youngest son, Ezekiel. He's known as 'THE HULK'. Hes only just turned 2 but that childs strength is incredible.
Tell us a funny story about a recent day out
we recently visited knowsley safari park where, after the car drive route, we walked the 'on foot' area. After we had all unloaded from the car my youngest son, aged 2, saw one duck standing there alone and felt sorry for it. He was eating quavers at the time and after many failed attemps at approaching the duck he decided that sharing his crisps would do the trick. That was until about 14 ducks appeared from nowhere and began chasing him to eat his snack. He ran his little legs as fast as he could, launching his crisps and screaming "helllppp". The rest of my children were creased over with laughter. Moral of the story is to follow the signs and dont feed the animals, especially if you're not much taller than the animal you're trying to feed!
What is the families favourite game to play on a day out?
Unfortunately for my petrol tank my boys love playing 'this way that way'. I say now and they shout their chosen direction for us to travel in. It should be left, right or straight ahead but it usually ends up with them all shouting "this way" or "that way" or "go up there". On the days that we are more stuck for time, or that my ears want slightly lower volumes then we love to play I spy.
More importantly, what is the families favourite snack on a day out?
It's gotta be chocolate spread sandwiches. Nutella spread on fresh bakery bean buns is an ultimate family favourite!
Last but not least, what is your family's motto?
"Wholeheartedly or not at all." I hated this saying as a child and each time my mum said it, I used to fill with frustration, but as I've grown I've realised just how true this statement is and you know what they say, you become your mother I guess...
