Do you have a train fanatic in the family? Or just love to explore our beautiful countryside? This is a perfect offer for you!

Only a short distance from Grimsby, the seaside resort of Cleethorpes and the historic market town of Louth, exploring the area with the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway is a great day out for everyone.

Park for free, take along a picnic or purchase some refreshments from the Steaming Kettle Buffet and spend the day riding the heritage steam train with an all day ticket.

You can also purchase souvenirs from the gift shop, visit the small museum and take some fantastic photos of the steam locomotives and rolling stock around the railway.

The trains run between Ludborough and North Thoresby and work is now in progress to extend the line southwards towards Louth. The first train tends to depart from Ludborough at 10.45am, and then runs hourly until the final train at 3.45pm.

The team is managed and run entirely by dedicated volunteers, who are excited to welcome you to the only standard gauge Heritage Steam Railway in Lincolnshire. They are incredibly passionate in keeping the heritage line running and keeping steam alive, and are filled with knowledge about the history of steam travel, so you're sure to learn a thing or two as well!
