Or perhaps you’ll choose to journey back through 2000 Years of York's history at the York Dungeon as you see, hear and (ahem) smell the city's murky past! 

You’ll come face to face with the mighty Vikings and learn all about their Saxon enemies before meeting some of York’s most notorious characters, including the (in)famous Guy Fawkes and local witch Isabella Billington as history is brought to life before your eyes!

Plus, new for 2024, will you survive THE BLOODY CODE?  From 1st March to 7th April, experience York’s spring show- where you’ll find yourself in an eighteenth-century courtroom after the end of The Glorious Revolution, as the number of capital offences in the country just keep on growing. Will you be ordered into the dock and accused of wrecking a fishpond or stealing sheep? Be careful, guilty peasants will be sentenced to death, death or death! 

Whichever location you choose, feel the dark shadows of the black plague and experience the fearsome torture chamber as you laugh, learn and scream your way through the cities most ‘orrible history!
