Today we all got wrapped up warm to venture out to Dundee ice arena and watch Aladdin on ice! None of us had been to see a Christmas show on ice before so we were all excited and really looking forward to see what it would be like.
When we arrived there was lots of people around and they’re were stalls selling lots of light up novelty gifts that the kids loved, also they were running raffles, a tombola, Chuck a puck and many other things. There was a cafe with reasonably priced drinks and food on offer and lots of seating.
Once we got settled (we were jealous as the family next to us had blankets!) we were in for a treat! The show was fast paced and the music ran along side brilliantly! They had really excelled on what must of been a minimum budget, even getting the younger children involved at every opportunity which was extremely cute. However, Matthew did find that the show became a little repetitive so if we were to go again I think he would choose to sit out. The show was just what I had expected, completely different to a typical Christmas panto, it was exciting from start to finish and managed to keep the feel of the Aladdin story through out. The best part was the costumes, all of which were amazing especially the light up tutus!
On a whole we would definitely recommend this outing, especially for families with younger children. It really got us in the mood for the whole festive period!
